From Life Magazine, February 17, 1958: "A punishment fitting the crime found three young boys in Seattle busy pumping up automobile tires. A patrolman and the father of one of the boys made them do it after they let the air out of tires on 40 cars and trucks. When the boys pumped 16 tires, the father rented a power pump."
